At MUA, students receive the necessary preparation in the five
subject areas-reading, writing, science, social studies, and
mathematics-to take the GED in Spanish. Having a high school
diploma opens up many possibilities for employment, higher education,
and personal fulfillment! We offer:
Basic Spanish Literacy
This class is the equivalent of grades 0-2, for students with little or
no Spanish literacy learn how to read and write Spanish. They also learn
addition and subtraction. Activities include math solving problems and
practice with letter formation, some games with numbers, objects and flash
card.
Pre-GED
MUA offers two levels of Pre-GED in Spanish, the equivalent of grades 3-5
and 5-8. Students study the five subject areas to transition to the upper-level
GED courses.
GED Intermediate and GED Advanced:
MUA offers two levels of GED in Spanish, the equivalent
of grades 7-9 and 10-12. Students study the five subject areas to take and pass
the five GED exams required for the certificate. We offer supplement math
tutoring as students find the mathematics exam the most difficult. After
obtaining their GED, students enter employment or college.
